Open carry vs concealed

While yes it is generally somewhat slower it really depends on the skill level of the shooter.
Many of my alumni & others that I know can "outdraw" average OC'ers from concealment because they practice their draw as well as all the other aspects of shooting defensive pistols on a regular basis.
However the element of surprise gives one a distinct advantage when done properly.
I don't disagree, I'm definitely in favor of the element of surprise...I've always liked the 'grey man' idea. I'm not that fast so I try to make up for it with situational awareness :becky:

I really am new here. Friend of mine told me about this site.
And I needed to sell off some uneeded ammo.
But who can resist a good open carry debate.
Of course I'm not new to the gun community. So this is an old topic about as old as 9mm Vs .45.
Don't worry about being new. Newbies have just as much right to be wrong as everybody else. :yo:

I find it humorous when somebody is wearing a Glock shirt or something similar . My guess is just because you dont see them with a gun doesn't mean they arent caring a gun
