There are a number of reasons folks assert that they do; comfort, quicker draw, fashion statements. So forth.
I personally like folks who OC, they make great decoys.
Some are big around the waste, can't fit a cc in their belt. I had this problem with my AR pistol
I agree Ghost. Saw a guy today and told my kids the same thing. First person targeted will be the open carry one.
Whatever the reasons, they aren't good.
Went to Provinos restaurant in Snellville last night for the wife's birthday. I was quite surprised to see two guys open carrying, and they weren't in the same dinner party. My wife and I had ours, but were concealed, as usual. We talked about it and figured that these guys would be the first ones targeted. I would much rather have the element of surprise.

Look at Off Duty Police.
They normally carry at least somewhat concealed.
No need on making yourself a target of opportunity.
And the element of surprise is not to be underestimated, in a conflict.

My doctors bill for the back problems i am developing are not going to be worth it to conceal carry much longer. I still plan to wear my shirt over the gun but OWB is about to be my only choice.
