Here’s a good one. I can’t tell it as well so I’m posting it here.

A hunting buddy and I camped in Dawson Forest on night before a hunt the next day, Good Burbon helped me fall asleep.. . That night around 11-12 PM, heard what sounded like a scream, then banging around sounding like in a big tank or something. It was too dark to go scouting for a look, so stayed put with guns handy. then the noise stopped and I heard an engine gun and something scratching off on the dirt road. OK so that wasn't scary, kicker is the sounds were Michael Gary Helton committing one of his many serial killings, wish I'd know what I was hearing, might could have saved a girl's life, (Meredith Emerson). Scary part was knowing I was sound asleep and heard her dying scream and being in the proximity of a serial killer.

love it lol.Though not hunting story...This happened to me...
I was in Savannah for the very 1st and last time bout 15 years ago. The night ghost tours was sold out... but i happen to be a cheapskate, AND I didnt care/want to pay for a ghost tour. I walked on my own between two tours. It was late night and you can hear pretty clearly to the tour guide in front and behind you. Literally..Dead of Night. It was dark and the street wasnt lit. The moonlight was alls anyone needed at that time.
The tour in front of us took a left, im following behind. We came across a small park and we hear kids (like 5 year olds) on the swing sets and giggling. I swear is was like ur at a kindergarten. It's dark, you dont see the swings but you know swings when you hear one. My wife and I both thought that was odd. Who lets their kids play on swings in the middle of night with no light? Off in the distance, I hear a child say (to us)...come play with us! I pay no mind...i keep walking.
We didnt want to walk into the group in front of us...so we slowed down. Just at that moment, we hear the second group come up behind us, and they were near the park. The tour guide turn and says..."welcome to the ghost park of Savannah"...legend has it that some kids were killed here centuries ago before the park was erected. Some people wont even come to this park because they say it is haunted. From time to time, it has been reported that kids are playing on the swing. Kindly note, there is no swing. But people have heard kids playing on them and people have reported they were asked to play with them. I've not see it but that's what the legend says...
At that very moment, I cr ap my pants and made a beeline to the hotel. I havent been back in Savannah again and have no plans to...EVER again.
