Don't get me started on that. GM should have kept the front engine Corvette and created the new mid-engine car, as a higher priced low volume supercar. Some said to call it the "Zora" to honor Zora Arkus-Duntov. Anything but "Corvette" would be fine.Kind of like the new Corvette. A neighbor just bought one and let me check it out.
It's a great looking car, but there's nothing in the design that says 'Corvette' anymore. If I had to guess without knowing I would have said some model of Ferrari.
That's not a bad thing, and a Ferrari for Corvette money is a steal, but it still loses something.
As has been said, the new mid engine car isn't a Corvette at all - it's a generic-mid-engine-styling-mess too me. It has McClaren, Ferrari and Lotus looks all combined. It's much less 'Murican and much more "Euro-peean"
The front engine rear drive Corvette was an AMERICAN icon - you knew it was a Corvette from 300 ft away. I miss it.
