What type of maintenance schedule did you keep?I’ve got a 2013 F-150 with the 3.5 eco boost. Just hit 107k and dumped a bunch of money on it. Would not recommend one but I do realize there are good ones out there.
My tundra 2WD only got 15 mpgTundra 5.7 is my vote.
My friend had the echo boost it "Blew up" right after he got it. They treated him ok and traded him into a 5.0 and he has been ok wit that (knock on wood).
Another friend has the 5.0 with about 45 miles and no issues so far.
Loved my 5.7. Just hated the 2wdTundra/Dodge (gas) are terrible on gas in my experience. Toyota though is very good with the V8 options and 6 speed
I'm with you..my daily driver (purchased 3 mths ago)is a 2008 f150 4x4 , tuned 4.6 (pass on the 5.4)with 90k at the moment. Not sure if i would want my 3.5 for a daily. My uncle had one with the 3.5 and had codes for the turbo before it had 10,000 miles on it. You gotta pick your poison with these new trucks. Ford can't hold a motor and chevy and dodge can't hold a transmission.
