Building an AK?

Anyone built one from a receiver?

I understand it can be done, but how difficult is it? I have seen receivers for @ $50 around.

-Also, what is the difference between someone who builds from a receiver like this vs. a manufacturer? The number of rifles built?

Gotta understand the rivets, have the tools to do it and heat treat the receiver. Kinda a PITA. Not like building an AR. A manufacturer has all the tools and know how. Id do a lot of research before building one.

Big pass for me. I'm about average when it comes to mechanical inclination, and it's worth a few extra bucks to avoid the hassle.
