No integrity

Bull crap. There has been liars, cheats, whelchers, back stabbers, thief's, etc since the beginning of time. Whiners too, this is nothing new. Technology has just made it all more visible. A man is only as good as his actions. To hell with his word, words don't mean crap.

The truth had been spoken. Yall can close this monkey ****ing now.

Wow! 1st time ever. Made a member a great deal on a new 1911 I was selling. Today by phone, we agreed to meet tomorrow morning to make the deal. He stated the "The gun is sold, I have the money in hand and will meet you at 0830 in Cartersville."

Well this guy sends me a text at at 1700 stating that the deal is off because he found a different gun at a good price. A text, not a call but a text! I guess the days of your word being good are gone.

I keep everything in private message on the site until all of the details are worked out including time, place and date of meet...that way if they back out you can give them negative feedback...otherwise it didn't happen...

That is where you and I differ. I was born and raised here in rural Southeast GA and I'm in my early 50's. You are part of the younger generation and were not born and raised here, so it is understandable that you say that. Us ole schoolers and ole timers see things different because of our upbringing. It's ok to disagree with opinions. If a man breaks his word with me, then I loose respect for him immediately.

Happened to me this past weekend where a deal was struck, We had already agreed on a price and a meeting time the next day. I was the buyer in this case. He sent me a text about a half hour later telling me that he sold it. WTF, I thought we had already agreed and he even asked me if I wanted him to take the add down. No Integrity at all. You are correct. Gone are the days when a mans word means something. I told him that, it just gives me another reason why I don't trust people.

I strongly disagree. A man's word does mean something. Obviously those individuals have no honor in their word, but the actions of a few do not reflect upon the whole.

The Bible is full of them. Are you older than the Bible?
