I'm in my 30's and with the "old" guys on this. Firmly believe technology will be our downfall. At some point things need to be just fine the way they are. I don't like having to relearn technology I'm already use to and I definitely do not like being inconvenienced.

Read the last sentence in the second paragraph. If your phone is 4G but isn‘t new enough to support VoLTE you will need a new phone. I have an iPhone 11 which isn’t old in my opinion and it does not support VoLTE. Only LTE.

iPhones have supported VoLTE since 2014 with the release of the iPhone 6.

My iPhone 11 will work on 3G and 4G. Sometimes I have to use 3G

By stopping the need for support of 3G they can improve 4G and 5G respectively.
Once again, this is comparing carbs and to direct injection. Not everything new is bad.

I do agree with you but not a great analogy the carburetor still does what it's supposed to do

The analogy is there because its no longer supported by manufactures because it was replaced by something better.
