Well... from a construction guys point of view. No matter where the laundry room is located the dryer goes closest to the outside wall. If both backup to an outside wall the washer connections will be determined by the plumber for ease of drain tie in.

are all washer/dryer setups...and laundry rooms generally....washer on the left and dryer on the right?? Got to thinking about all I have had, and they are all this way. Is this a 'Merican thang?? Just the opposite in other countries?
