You mentioned polka, and this was the first thing I thought about.

Yodeling, polka, mountain blue grass, classical, etc., any kind of music. I think I'd start off with white noise, like wind, then waves lapping at the shore, move into some elevator musak, then graduate to sugar pop, some insipid country pop, then polka, maybe some yodeling and then the Shark Family song. I'd finish up with a two hour loop of the Vietnamese villagers whining and shouting at Barnes before and after he popped mamasan in the forehead with a. 223 round in the movie "Platoon." That's about the most annoying sound I can think of.
