Actually, this one had a rational basis... We added at least 2.5 million new gun owners in the last few months. Take each of them and multiply it by a couple of boxes of ammo and you can see why what was a glut of ammo turned into a shortage.
Then add into the mix the fact that COVID shut down the production side of most ammo companies for a few months, and you have where we are right now.
Of course how long it lasts is completely mental. If we (existing gun owners) all had bought ammo when it was cheap and available we wouldn't be scrounging around buying up whatever is available, and creating more supply issues while driving prices up.
If you owned a gun since before 2013 and don't have enough ammo to get you through the next 6-12 months, shame on you.
