BAD GATEWAY error…what’s going on?

Most common cause is the server is just overloaded. That can happen for lots of reasons including too many people trying to access, server undersized to begin with, other scheduled workloads going on (like a backup running) which increases load. Fix can be approached in many ways including just moving to a bigger server, multiple servers with an up front load balancer, switching architecturally to a more fault tolerant configuration.

Basically, the system can be made as fast and as reliable as you can afford. Always a balancing act between maintaining a reasonable cost for the system and performance/reliability of the system.

There has really been an increase in this happening lately. It’s become a 50/50 chance of logging on these days. I’ve rebooted and cleared my cache so not sure what else to do

A backup runs every night around 4:00 am and the site can go down for up to 20 minutes, based on the time you posted this that could be a factor. Aside from that the site has been performing great the last couple of days.

I use Brave search engine and see it all the time if I switch to the dreaded Google search it normally works so I'm in for answers.

Do any of you use a VPN and use a country besides the US? We blocked many other countries over the weekend so it's possible that could have something to do with it.

Mine will do it randomly too, not the backup time during the day. Can be slow anytime. As said seems to be better today.

I had a notification this morning. When I clicked the link in email it gave me error. I got up and got ready and came in through safari fine.

It’s been a pretty regular thing for the past year or so. Seems to be getting worse but realizing nothing is going to change is why you should accept it.
