Yes please put the location back on. I don't would to have to dig through all the areas to find something thats on the other side of the state from me.

I like the new system. It has been needed for a long, long, time. Still would like a quick ad delete option to remove ads after something has sold. OpSec/PerSec.

Classifieds Update

Just wanted to let everyone know about some updates/changes we are making today.

Once the update is completed please post any bugs/errors in this thread.

Changes:

• We no longer have separate forums for Georgia and National. All ads are now in the same forum and you can choose which state to look at it, with the default being Georgia.
• We no longer have the location tags for areas of Ga, like "Metro Atlanta," Northeast GA," etc. Disregard, we are putting these back now.
• Classifieds filter box now has state selection and keyword search.
• New option in filter box to include "Willing to ship" items. This will add items that match your search from any location if they have selected the willing to ship option.

Why is it that in the world of computers "update" is always a euphemism for "reduced functionality?" With the ability to search for ads based on distance from your zip code removed, the site is now basically useless unless one has all day to sift through numerous adds you can't even respond to. Most people don't. RIP ODT.

What are you talking about? You can search based on distance. The search function is way better than it was before and it’s right there on top of the page. It seems like some of you aren’t even bothering to actually check out the site, you just assume since a feature has moved and it is no longer in the same place it was before that it is removed. A whole lot of handwringing and pearl clutching over nothing.
