Sounds like a spring is on wrong

Did you look at the pictures OP posted?

New FCG and you should be good to go. Just make sure not to loose the little safety detent and spring when you remove the grip to get the safety out. If you have never removed a FCG, the pointed end goes toward the safety and flat end towards the spring. Post pics and update once you get it running correctly.

Use this if you have never assembled one before.

We are waiting on alleycat to take pictures of the FCG removed from the lower. That will be he moment we can confirm I the wrong hammer/trigger combo were used. Until then, we await feedback.

It's a Timney single-stage assembly, 4-lb pull

You should mail me that so I can find out what was wrong with the install. I would mail it back once I have it figured out.

It's a Jard 3lb 2 stage non adjustable trigger. Odd it caused that issue unless it was way out of spec or installed improperly.
