The one I rented was from United tool rental (used to be called something else a few years back) down by Thomas Crossing right next to B & B tire.

Just Buy a nice heavy Maddox and a nice narrow stinger style shovel and some gloves and dig it in the rain while the ground is soft. Poco a poco. Trencher will leave a mess for you to clean up.

I have used a garden tiller to break the ground, several passes, then a hoe to finish.

This is what I was looking for. They show online, then go to checkout and shows "not available for rent".

I call the stores and they say they don't have them anymore......

Such a simple task, to be so complicated....

i used a pressure washer once to dig a small trench. the water and sludge just need somewhere to flow.
