Oven cook a 12lb bird.
2 Pans of dressing.
Big pot of giblet gravy.
Cranberry sauce.
Wife makes tater salad.
Daughter makes cheesecake.
Use leftover turkey to make brunswick stew

Sorry that was a late 80's flashback .
We will likely go to the in-laws & act like everything is "A-OK" ; Eat a truly lovingly cooked meal , then argue all the way back home .

I love Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays - best time of the year !
It used to be totally awesome when my folks were alive. We would all go down to Thomasville,Ga and hang at their place. Shoot guns, fish, ride horses….all that good stuff for a week !
But we still gather at my brothers house on Thursday ….. tell jokes, eat good food, watch the kids play in the yard, etc.,
It’s all great fun - family is what it’s about , as well as being thankful for what we have !!

yep washed VERY good.....they were VERY clean to begin with
2 hours in to 3 hour cook. Looks great so far. First time using this fryer. So far I’m impressed with the simplicity, lack of mess, and speed.
Crap… went to pick up shucked oysters for my Turkey Day casserole, Winn-Dixie, $60.00/qt. Didn’t bother to check Harris-Teeter, figured I’d pass out at their pricing.
Drove over to old faithful City Market in Brunswick, ‘’only’’ $45.00.
