Project: Levergun

Well, let it be known that the top lines of the (well, at least my) Glenfield Model30A are not identical to a Marlin 336. The XS LeverRail made for the 336 required substantial filing on the back arches to make it fit flush with the top of the receiver. It appears that the 336 is slightly more rounded than the 30A and the shoulders in the LeverRail didn't jive with the squared off edges on my rifle...it also required some slight filing to the rear sight post mount to get the receiver holes to line up (as Troy has already noted). Here's an up close pic of what was removed. No structural integrity was damaged and with a touch up of lack enamel to hide the file marks, it looks like it was meant to be there.

Now, to find an optic...I'm thinking red dot or some form or micro-BUIS. A few more pics for good measure. :thumb:

An Aimpoint or EoTech would work well. Love the rifle, nice work. The target crown looks great too.
