I don't give a shyte what you remember the price was....

I think you missed the point but alright. The free market and capitalism is great but gouging is a ****ty practice. Especially when people go out of their way to buy several cases and sell it.

I shoot and do silly tacticool stuff too, but I ration or use my MP5/AK with the ammo I got left. Thankfully I don't have athritis, a sub-par rifle, and a Condor carrier with poor III plates. I concede in this argument, boomer.
Definitely not a boomer comrade.

Sorry you hate American and the principles we stand for.

Charging a diabetic $20 for 8lbs of ice they need to keep their insulin fresh after a hurricane is gouging. Selling a 50 rd box of 9mm for $40 to a momo who couldn't be bothered to buy it when it was $7.99 because they bought a new Gee-lock and want to go the range and do some blassin' is teaching them a lesson.

Who should be able to decide for what price I can sell my privately owned goods?

Read: I literally have no valid argument to support gouging, I must cope by accusing someone of being a socialist. Mmyes
Selling ammo at current market values or any value isn't gouging. I'll sell for the maximum amount consumers are willing to pay...know why? It's hard to find and in short supply. Know what that does to price? I'll give you two guesses.

I don't owe you under-priced ammo because you failed to prepare.

Perfectly valid argument that there is a slight supply shortage and demand is slightly up. But to be honest this is all blatant cope. Whether or not the resale of ammo is considered gouging is a bit of grey area. Going out of your way to buy up 4K of Herters at 20CPR and reselling at 60CPR is objectively a slimey thing to do. You cannot refute this. Sure it is legal but it is indeed scummy and the people doing it know it.

But continue to cope if it makes you feel better. You're really convincing me.

Not trying to be argumentative this morning.....really....

I keep seeing posts that are calling out "flippers", gougers (a stupid term because it does not apply to gun and ammo sales) and other forms of low life activity. I just want to know, how do you know they are flippers? Were you there when they bought the merchandise? How do you know it was purchased at a store specifically for flipping and not part of what they already own? Do you know the flippers personally? Have you done an inventory of their "stash"? Or, is it just your opinion that they are flipping? And if it is your opinion, is you opinion based on facts? If you don't know when, where and how much they bought, and you are basing you opinion on what you believe is happening, how can you make a blanket statement that they are in fact flippers? Or, are you calling them flippers simply because they disagree with you opinion? Just asking, not being argumentative at all................really.....

A slight supply shortage and slight demand increase? Just how big is the rock you're living under? I can't remember a time when ammo was harder to get. I work in the firearms industry and my clients are reporting backorder times on ammo stretching to the summer of 2021 if demand stabilizes. We have an unprecedented number of new gun owners..best estimates are over a million. That's a slight increase?

Ok buddy. I can ask whatever I want for my privately owned goods, whether I just scooped them up for under market value or if they've been in inventory for a decade.

Mostly it's because they (the sellers) have something the slacker doesn't, but wants. But doesn't want to pay for.

These self righteous momos screeching about evil gougers, flippers, illegal dealers, etc., have no idea when anyone bought anything, how much they paid for it, or how much they actually sell it for. They are Karens trying desperately to remain relevant in a changing marketplace in which they cannot participate.

It won't be long before these nitwits not only whine and cry about your prices but also about what you do with any profit realized. It's coming as sure as the world. So, they'll want to approve prices, margins and disposition of profits. Karens, all of them. We used to call them busybodies.
