I got raised in the mid-west. In the 70's, they drilled for oil, hit it (you could smell it) and cap it off. We got oil, they just won't release it until the price is high enough.

I know a bunch of Obama voters. They love him. He's going to get re-elected by them no matter what he does.

I disagree with your last assertion.

I think Obama will not get re-elected. The last election was an aberration. People were pissed at Bush (liberals and conservatives alike,) and it was obvious that the economy was crashing. We somehow managed to run John Freaking McCain (why does he even call himself a Republican?) against Obama, and he lost. Not by a crazy margin, but he lost.

Sure, there will be a bunch of morons willing to re-elect this clearly incompetent socialist-but what I see on the conservative side is much different. People are pissed. They are pissed that all this socialism has made a bad economy even worse. They are pissed at the insane spending levels, and they are stoked at the possibility of putting an end to this foolishness. I think conservatives will really turn out this time. Who the hell could get fired up about MCain? Who the hell can't get fired up to send Obama back home?
