Is this just a Southern thing? Or is it a sale issue? (Keep the good scope)

we all poors and buy cheap scopes to shoot at deer 3 times a year
If someone owns the rifle I guess they can cram a dried up turd in the rings if they want. It’s really not my business or concern what folks are doing with their own property.
Some of the ones I've seen are old classic rifles with a vintage scope of the time on it. Those older scopes if still working properly aren't bad equipment. I've never seen one of these old scopes not still working well
So we're supposed to get beat down to less $ or trade value than we have in the rifle, and leave the leoupold vx3 or better on it as well?

I think your asking a lot.
But just my opinion.
A bolt rifle is cosmetically superior in ad pics with a scope on it.
I suppose we could always paint a thin gold ring around the forward outer lens thingy for family pics if that would make you feel better.
Last few bolt guns I bought here , I felt lucky if got the original factory rings, or if they matched the color of the rifle reciever, that came standard with a Ruger bolt gun.
