Guns you purchased to use..only for them to become too valuable to use.

To me, a firearms value is how much I want to shoot it and how well it does its particular job which is hitting targets at the distances the firearm was designed for. Or sentimental family firearms. Never really a dollar amount.

I guess I should clarify the word "use". I mean to take out in the field to hunt with or possibly shoot thousands of rounds . If you are going to the range and firing it, then the amount of usage probably won't effect he value.

I've been through a few that I don't use.
Diana grade superposed
Ruger MKi ultralight (1 rd fired through it)
Ruger M77 MKii carbine in 7mm-08 (wood/blued)
Ruger M77 MKii 35 Whelen (Zytel/blued)
NIB Ruger M77 MKi RSI 308 (SPM)
NIB Ruger M77 MKi RSI 30-06 (sold)
10 NIB Ruger MKII pistols (mostly slabside) (sold 7)

I bought a Henry lever action 22 from an individual for a $100 that I gave to my daughter for her first rifle. That same gun has really jumped in price the last few years.
