I don't want to buy anything that can be shut-off remotely. One tesla owner got shut down because he wouldn't swap his loaner high capacity battery for the standard battery when it came available.

Buddy has a 2009 BMW that can be shut off remotely. Nothing new here, just depends on who wants it shut down and why.

Pretty sure any modern gas/diesel can be shut off remotely. Anything with Onstar, Ford Sync, or Dodge Uconnect that allows a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection, remote start, tracking, navigation, remote diagnostics, etc.

How modern is modern? 2011 Camry and 2015 Lexus RX are safe. 86 Silverado has a carb so it is almost EMP proof.

Until they get super-fast charging stations at every expressway exit I’m out.
Pretty sure I won’t live ‘til they’re mainstream. Probably have nuclear powered flying cars first.
