My son used some of mine yesterday on allatoona , the fish up there don’t like worms...lol. Dead Sea.

Any night crawler / red wriggler farmers on the ODT?

never have liked fishing that place. not a very clean fishery from what ive seen
but what the hell do i know.
+1 on the catalpa tree. Great catfish bait.Problem with worms in the ground is they tend to go where they want. There's lots of DIY containment systems that are easy and you will, in fact, never have to buy bait again. Good luck. (And plant a catalpa tree while you're at it.)
My wife has been doing a worm bed in a 25gal container for several months now. She’s doing rather well with it.
Trees are no longer there.

That's a bit odd. They normally don't travel much and go straight in the ground to pupate. I have three in the backyard at the house (countless ones around the pond at the cabin) and I don't think I've ever found one more than 10' from a tree.
I guess maybe they didn't reach a size big enough to pupate and had stripped the tree clean and were looking for food?
