Years ago a woke up late and saw a very large man wearing a german ww2 helmet standing next to a wall in my bedroom. I grabbed the nightstand .357 and fired 3 rounds which went through him and the bedroom wall. Then i realized i had woke up with an erection and the sun was casting a shadow.
I own both(XDs and Glock but not a 42). With That being said, there was a lot of hate on Springfield for correcting a problem before it ever really happened on the xds's. It doesn't look like Glock wants to do the same thing with a problem that does already exist.
The best carry gun is the one you will carry everyday. My j-frame seems to be the one i always grab. But i do like mine with a hammer for those single action shots.
I had a pitbull in .40 but the cylinder would stop turning when the trigger was pulled on some shots. Sent it back to Charter Arms, they did a hand adjustment and got it back to me quickly, but you could still move the cylinder around in every direction with your hand.
I hear you man, I have this and a Springfield lightweight champion operator and can hit better with the ruger. But I would have to chose the springfield for carry, it is much lighter. I agree this is the best bang for the buck in commander sized 1911's
