What is it with the .40 cal

Why are so many people not willing to trade or buy .40 cals now. The ammo is cheaper than 9mm or any other and its a bigger load. I really don't understand it but would like to know.

It used to not be - was significantly more expensive. Have not priced it in some time.

The .40s I've shot seem to have more recoil than a .45ACP or 9mm. I'm not a fan, but I'm too heavily invested into other calibers to add .40 to the mix.

Lots of people say it's "too snappy" but hey, it leaves more for me.

Some people just don't want to add another caliber. I don't own any 9mm and don't plan on adding it.
