What was your Granny’s cough syrup recipe?

I mix a third lemon juice, third honey l, and a third white liqueur and sometimes throw in 4 sticks clove candy.

Pint jar- I did about a 1/3 honey, 2/3 liquor, 3 tablespoons lemon juice and 8 pieces of peppermint candy. Heated it up to mix- some candy still hard but way over half melted. I’ll take about 4 shots here in a bit and report back tomorrow. I don’t drink at all so I’m sure I’ll have to hold my nose- I know…big sissy!
