Wal Mart Pulling All Confederate Flag Merchandise

On one of my biannual trips to Wal-Mart, just after the Paula Dean BS, I was looking for a spatula. I wanted a flexible, yet sturdy one.

I had a (girl of color)? try to steer me away from the Paula Dean collection at the end of the isle. Once I realized what she was doing, my mind was made up. I was buying Paula Dean whether I liked it of not.

I love this country, but could do without about half of the people residing in it.

I'm a transplanted yank and I'm even pissed about this. Anyone that cant see that flag for what it is, is the problem. It's baffling to think supposed intelligent people believe that if we take away a flag then all the problems will go away. I've hated wally world for a long time, but this is the straw that broke the fat man's back. I'm done with them.

-The civil war was about slavery
-Fdrs new deal brought us out of the depression
-2nd amendment was only intended for militias
-We are a democracy

These are all not true, but ive heard them recently enough

Best thing to do is get educated yourself these days. And i dont have a kid but if i did i would home school them. Sending my kid to public school would be child abuse at this point

The ironic thing is that the choice to abuse two of the four things I listed can be more directly correlated to the destruction of "black lives" than any flag...

You really can't see the difference?

If "Kill all the Whyte People" had been scrawled over it, they would have been equivalent and both "racist hate crimes".

Kids call it like it is. They are told to be afraid of the dark or hate people. They are products of their environment. Sounds like you're doing a fine job with your daughter.

Yup. They had a rabid hater on NPR yesterday, she was almost a caricature; black female liberal arts "studies" professor going on and on about "white privilege" and all the historical wrongs she could remember. I can usually tolerate the liberal crap-stream, but I had to turn it off.

All this gnashing of teeth and not one word about the murder and unemployment rates of blacks, or dealing with mental illness and intolerance. No, lets attack superficial problems like a flag or go after guns (again).

Slapping a bandaide over deep, complicated problems and pretending they are fixed, that's the 'Merican way.

I absolutely agree. Many is the time a person is locked up, for committing a crime mind you, but what they really needed was treatment. But the Govt won't pay for it and rarely do families have the financial means to get them the help they need. Really a **** storm waiting to happen.
