i would say a knife that looks ugly but is really sharp, it will make you less of a target for someone taking your expensive looking machette, i'm thinking an old machette you would find in an old garden shed that is or can be sharpened

I'm surprised no one mentioned the parry blade. Thing seems well designed and damn near indestructible. Sure it's pricey but if/when shtf.. I don't think I'd be concerned about the money I spent as long as it held up.

that being said... I've been checking out the cold steel bushman too simply because its cheap and you can use it as a spear. Zombies hate spears.
