Open Carry in Georgia

This question may have already come up on the Forum's and I may have missed it.

I currently have a CWP, what are the laws governing open carry and is there a separate permit for open carry? If so, how much is it and can you have both a CWP and a open carry permit?

In georgia you have to have a weapons permit. It covers both concealed and open carry

If you have a current GWCL, then you are legal to open carry in GA.

Last time I renewed mine, it was $75. you can look up the website for the probate court in the county you live in to find all the exact details.

My permit says Georgia Firearms License, does that impact getting a Georgia Weapons License and what is with the difference in wording?

If you have a valid concealed carry permit it also allows you to open carry. There is only 1 permit you can get and it covers both open & concealed.
