I think this is the seed of a good idea. Why re-invent the wheel? Since we already have a format for a 72 hour cut off with the sales threads would it be possible to make it a hard stop that can't be renewed and assign that to the Give Away forum? That would prevent anyone from having to try to count posts, while limiting the number of posts people could make to whatever they could slip in in 3 days. Then make the Give Aways forum outside the What's New, or leave it up to the user to exempt it if they want. If that works some of the other endless threads spinning round and round like a slinky on a treadmill could be treated the same or maybe the format could be applied to the Stupid Stuff forum and the Introduce yourself forum and the Boiler Room sub-fourms and...
