Let's hear some pro's and con's about pulling your weapon out just to let someone know you're carrying...let's say like if a homeless dude asks you for money and you cuss him out and he gets angry at you...

Cons: You can go to jail, get fined, have a criminal record, lose your GWL, and maybe even catch a felony, preventing you from legally possessing firearms.

Since I know where this is ultimately going, I think the OP was in the wrong.

The series of events as he described made him seem like the first aggressor.

I think there are very few situations someone needs to pull their gun and not shoot someone. Fighting with homeless people does not seem to be one...
