I honestly don't think it will happen.... but in my opinion what will end up happening is, if the issue continues to be pressed at some point the price of a stamp will go up, being that it hasn't ever been raised in 80 something years.

LOL, that's exactly what IS likely to happen. They'll ask for a reauthorization and increase in the price of a tax stamp adjusted for inflation. That'll fix 'em.
