Poorly kept secret in Washington. There's a reason why Ruger always gets it's Mini-14 exempt on these lists, and it has to do with them being a publicly traded company.
Nothing they can do though. Obama used eight years worth of political capital on Obamacare and he squandered his opportunity to pass all of the gun control he could fart in glee when the Dems controlled everything from 2008 to 2010. Nothing will happen but a bunch of crying and some EO attempts, and there's not much he can do on that front.
And the only reason Hillary is pushing this is because Bernie is beating her at grassroots/base support right now. Hillary is a business crony. She'll succumb to big American gun businesses just like her husband did. But the base of the party, the young hipsters, they think guns are the devil and she's gotta keep her name in the news.
