Ham Radio Operators

I am studying now to take my test (finding time is my biggest challenge) - my boyfriend is studying for his general now and has some equipment. We definitely want to learn more because we believe communications is extremely important.

The apps for your smart phone are great to help you study whenever you get a few minutes.

Got my tech "plus" around 91. 5 wpm and the they dropped the requirement but was proud I did it. Actually pretty easy then but now can't remember most letters! I have a 2m in the truck and a handheld. Just listen to hams or police or tor ado stuff.

I'm 2m/440 only right now. Really looking for a low priced HF rig that i can learn on. anyone have any leads on equipment like that?

I've got an Icom MK-706, one of the first generations, hf thru 6m, 2m & 440 I believe. Find out it's value and maybe we can make a deal. It's as new, powered it up 2, maybe 3 times - that's it !
