Not really new news but interesting none the less. Plate readers used to build national database (under the DEA and others, just search plate readers) then used by locals for capturing criminals. Freedom what freedom? Protection from searches & seizures? Who needs a national ID when they can simply use your plates? But then I posted this so most will dismiss it a "from a hater".

This pool of LPR data totals over 2 billion detections and grows at a rate of over 70 million per month.

Also now linking LPRs to facial recognition software.

Yes, the whole ....................when you sign your driver's license argument. You didn't need a license to ride a horse then somewhere along the way the gubment was able to convince people to register their cars and obtain licenses. The whole, "it's for your protection racket". And then they go and ban horses (ATVs, snowmobiles etc.) on "public" roads/highways. Yup, like people have a choice.

The tag is a flag of the State issuing it. The State owns the car (they possess the MSO thus they have legal title).
You own nothing!

As soon as you come to peace with that the more sleep you'll get.

Carry on.
