I would say that come the most off-road capable from the factory. They are known for reliability and general ease of maintenance and as others have said, there are tons of mods for em.

Plus.. on an nice sunny day... NOTHING beats a top down, doors off cruise.

Except may a motorcycle... i dont know. I couldnt decide so I just bought both. lol

Similarly I don't understand why Cherokees are priced so low.

Plain old style Cherokees are great and have a loyal following. Grand Cherokees however pretty much suck.

Not as much as most think, I traded, bartered, begged, and swapped parts for everything on that jeep except the tires, They were the only thing I bought new.
