This is me, my wife gave me $500 to buy my own Christmas gift, I went straight to 5 Star Pawn. I'm sick and tired of getting socks, slippers or other Crap.
Wife and I shop for ourselves for Christmas and have for 30+ years. Makes it more fun to "see" what I got her.
I’m the worst when it comes to buying gifts. Can’t ever figure out what to get them. Hell, I can barely remember what damned day it is half the time !

One year my wife got me a hot tub .
And a few years later got me the “Porsche driving experience “
The company she works for did the Porsche driving thing for an outing and the driver said she was the most calm passenger he’d ever had .
She just responded with : “ I’m used to riding with a 15 year old boy, so there is nothing you can do anywhere near as scary as that”

Anything I want and don’t buy is too expensive to be a gift. There’s not a thing in this world I want Christmas morning.
This is what I try to tell my wife. Anything on my "want list" is too much for a gift. I dont care about presents for me on Christmas, its about the family
