To the OP, great topic but too little info. Here's a good article on what to clean and look at on your AR-15s, though we'd need a real gunsmith to post tolerance specs and fault measurements.

I went and checked out the website of an armorer you briefly mentioned a few weeks ago, SOTAR (School of the American rifle).

Maintenance on a gun? Half of the trades I've got from ODT members haven't even been cleaned in the past 20 years let alone had any type of scheduled maintenance.

I swear the next time one of you fudds hands me a dirty rifle......
