I've got a Seekins factory-built 10.5" barreled Upper on a Bushy lower that I'm quite fond of--Runs very well, is quite accurate for what it is and with the Noveske Flaming Pig on the front now, it's not too obnoxious any more--LOL!
Neat-lookin' Pistol. My money would be on it being an EARLY VQ-customized MKII--As in well before they started making their own Receivers--I think I recognize that Comp as being one of their first aftermarket MKII parts to be sold--Be interesting to find out what VQ can tell you about it...
Gimmebackmybullets has it right--The Model 27 has a 3 & 1/2" Barrel & what looks to be a Model 29 has a Four-inch Barrel--BTW, both are N-Frames and a Four-inch N-Frame Holster will work for both, if he can live with a little bit of leather "Overhang" on the Model 27...
The Red Label is a nice-LOOKING gun, but there's a reason NO Top-Level Trap, Skeet or Sporting Clays shooter ever shot one very long--They just don't hold up to prolonged use as well as even the enrty-level Berettas and Brownings do--My "Pet Peeve" with 'em is the TRIGGERS--NEVER felt one on a...
I bought one several years ago & sold it 5 or 6 years ago for $1,600--They are quite uncommon, with 800 being made with GSP Markings & an "Over-run" of 40 or so that have no GSP Markings, IIRC--For some reason, they are not as sought-after as you might think they would be, so I'd say $1,600 to...
Just goes to show that each Barrel is unique & has has its own preferences--My Compass Lake Upper stacks the IMI right on top of each other--Like 1/2 MOA--with boring regularity--Guess I'm gonna' hafta' try some of the Nosler at some point, just to see if it shoots any better than the IMI--Its...
My "Always" Gun is an old, well-worn Smith & Wesson Model 442--Sometimes it's in a Fanny Pack, sometimes it's in a Pocket Holster, sometimes it's AIWB--But it's ALWAYS with me...
Sometimes I will carry a SECOND J-Frame--Usually a 640-3 or a 642 with the uncommon 2 & 1/2" Barrel, sometimes I...
My favorite HD Shotgun of the last 45 years is a Remington 1100 with a VR Skeet Barrel cut down to 18 & 1/2" with Remington Synthetic Furniture--Why, you ask? Because after 50 years of shooting Clay Targets & all manner of Feathered Game I'm used to the "Sight Picture" I get with a VR...
