It sucks but it’s okay. This rifle along with a JM stamped marlin 336 will be passed down to my two boys so it’s okay, they are staying in the family. I guess I’ll get another shape to fit recoil pad and try and make it as nice as I can
Well bad news. I took and popped that plug out and stock has been cut at some point. The butt plate doesn’t fit. I guess I’ll have to put something else on it unfortunately. Anyone have any ideas?
My grandfather recently gave this to me. It was the first centerfire rifle I ever shot when I was a young kid. I always told him I wanted it and he recently gave it to me. From what he can remember he purchased it when he was 16, he’s turning 80 this month. I don’t know a lot about the older...
I don’t know to much about Mosins. I picked these up at my LGS. They appear to be in good shape, bore looks good, all numbers match from what I can find, both came with sling, oil bottle and pouch. What’s a rough idea on value on these? Want to make sure I did okay!
The Stoegers are good to go in my experience. The mossberg SA-20 gets good reviews also. I’m just partial to inertia guns. Look at a Franchi Affinity 3 also, they cost a little more but imo it’s worth it
The MBT2-S is a great trigger. I have a Geissele SSA, G2S, and the MBT2-S in different rifles, and had I do it over again they would all be the MBT2-S.
what he said. I’ve had a couple of the Ruger American predators in 6.5 Creedmoor, including a go wild model now, and they have all been extremely accurate. Sub MOA easily. I had a Xbolt western Hunter that was double the price of the Ruger, and ended up selling it because the Ruger shot better...
Not sure what your budget is, but Sons of liberty gun works is having a Black Friday special on thier patrol model. I believe it’s $799 and it’s a lot of gun for the money. Also geissele just released their duty rifles for $850. Comes with a excellent trigger, rail, Magpul stock, etc. They are...
I was a nervous wreck about doing it, but I did two 6920s and it went fine. I used a nail set nearly the same size as the taper pin so I didn’t mushroom the head of the pin. Best I can remember I used a 3lb sledge and hit it pretty hard and they both moved on the first hit. Then I just used a...
I’m pretty sure it is. From my understanding it’s not available to the civilian market but it comes on the Geissele URGI. That’s why I’m hesitant about doing this. I don’t want to mess it up but it sounds like that’s a chance.
