Need some advice/opinions on the "best" all around SBR barrel length. Don't have any particular use in mind (Competition, home defense, range toy, etc.) Looking for something that can do a little of everything. Is there really a "Do All" barrel length?

Well aware of the cons of SBR's, but I'm still leaning towards it.

I'd sure appreciate any help.

What weapon system? AR, AK, something else?

What caliber?

Just got my stamp back for mine. Went 11.5” for the reasons stated above. Now just waiting on my can!

11.5 for 5.56, it's more or less just like a carbine just moves faster. 10.5 300 acc cause that's what works. 7.62 NATO I have not found a happy length shorter than 16. I did a 10 inch and a 12.5 inch, extremely noisy and to much muzzle blast.

Q has a 7" 300BO barrel on the honey badger. anyone shot one of these? I'd like to build a 300 upper with one of their barrels. 1:5 twist rate.
