We moved a couple years ago. My address was Cartersville, but were closer to Euharlee.
I've been looking for a hole in the wall steak place for a while, so we will definitely try it.
Man that looks good! We were in Apalachicola on vacation last month. I couldn't wait to eat fresh Apalachicola oysters, but they have closed all the beds until 2025.
The ones we did get were from a different state and were tiny.
I make carnitas using Boston butts.
Cut in 3" chunks
Salt and pepper
Put in crock pot
Add Mexican coke, Mexican beer, chopped garlic, quarter a large orange squeeze and put quarters in pot.
Cook all day.
When done, put broiler on high, place meat on cookie sheet and gently mash with a fork...
I'm headed to Jacksonville to work for a few weeks. I will definitely be trying this with fresh shrimp.
I wonder how your special marinade would be with shrimp stir fried?
If you ever get down to Savannah, there is a little hole in the wall place called Randy's BBQ on Wheaton St. Its a walk up cash only place, but its cheap and really good ribs and chicken only. No drinks no sides except a couple pieces of white loaf bread.
After reading all of these recommendations and comments about this or that place and how good they are, I realize good BBQ is subjective to your own taste.
A lot of these places I have eaten at and didn't care for, while others think its the end all beat all.
