What a Jerk(y)!

Just scored a great deal from an ODT'er this week on an Excalibur 2400 Food Dehydrator and tonight I made some chicken and beef jerky...and oh my god is it so good. Way better than any store bought jerky and less "stuff" with long words in the ingredients.

Beef Jerky was a mix of honey, Worcester sauce, soy, red pepper flakes, onion powder and liquid smoke.

Chicken Jerky was just a bottle of Chapala sauce.

Next up, Jack Daniels jerky!

Never had chicken jerky (that I can recall) does it keep well? Pretty tasty or so do you spice it up good before drying?

I've been making venison jerky in the oven. It works pretty well.

i used to work with an avid hunter he would make jerky out
wild turkey,hog,deer bring it in to work and sell it and it
went quick.

Do you marinate the meat at all or just coat it and dry? How long does it take?
