I’d venture to say type two diabetes is almost always treatable with diet and exercise, problem is people would rather take medicine to mask the problem

Did metformin for a couple years lost the weight and came off of it, gained the weight and doc put me on ozympic the weight is coming off fast we’ll see about A1C in 2 weeks

Been on it a few years, just upped dosage from 500mg twice a day to 1000mg twice a day. No noticeable side effects side effects side effects...

been a type 2 diabetic for 24 years, on metformin of 2000 per day for over 20 years. now on other meds and 2 flavors of insulin. I am 76, and don't expect a cure, very sedentary, don't even go to gun shows anymore. have lost about 20 pounds, but still weigh 270. clearly in the homestretch, over the hill.

If you can start reducing your calorie intake and doing some of the things that'll get your A1C down below 5.7, you'll start to have options that include getting off metformin.
