Found this at a flea store for about nothing. Has the legs also.
 
While I like the concept, I've just never been brave enough to buy used cast iron.
No idea what was cooked in it. Lead smelter at one point? :shocked:
Found a nice skillet one time in a shop. I painted it orange. I intend to shoot it. But if someone wants it.......
I'm with you. As a kid, we used an old cast iron Dutch oven as our lead pot.

Several years ago, there were some boys on a muzzleloader hunt that were camped near us. One of them had some cast iron pots & frying pan he had scavenged at the county landfill a few days before. He had burned them out in their campfire and proceeded to cook in them. I got ill thinking about what their history might have been...
