Hoagland has said some sketchy stuff in the past. I remember Coast to Coast with Art Bell ....just sayin.
IMHO - it's more bloody likely that Astronauts landed and maybe did find some stuff there (weird 3 headed, 5 breasted silicon based aliens that eat baby brains...JK!) as oppsosed to a big hollyweird style production complete with Holographic Laser Systems (patent pending) to dupe the world into believing they landed when they didn't.
It's fun conjecture though.
