Here are some pictures from of the work I did last week. The ejector and extractor are fit but not tunned. The firing pin stop is done.

Tonight the wife fell asleep early so I figured I'd work on getting the mag catch/release installed. Typically these are drop in or very close. This one was not so close. It would fit in the hole but only if pushed very hard. So a little time and a tad bit of filing and now she's good to go! After the first fit I couldn't even get a magazine to go in it was so tight! Now it's smooth and functions great.

LOL! Thanks but it's not even fit for looks or feel, just function. I like to make things smooth on my guns. No sharp edges and blend everything!

Fit the new thumb safety today. Very happy with the engagement this time, perfect!

Starting to file away some metal! I started with a little bit more agressive file, but not for long, and did most of the work with a simple ignition file.

Just some for fun with the majority of the function fit complete. Just need to tune the ejector and extractor and then go do some test shots!

Yesterday I was able to get to the range and put 50 rounds through her, trouble free! Look for a lot more pictures over the next month while I work on the looks and feel. She's coming along nicely!

Was this a function test or is this project done? Did you have any issues due to the frame being aluminum. I'm awaiting your pics.

This was a function test. Everything was great. I have not started the feel/look work on the pistol yet. No issues with the frame, what kind of issues are you talking about?

My concern was the hard anodizing on the surface. If you had to remove metal from the frame, would you then need to have the frame hardened again?

The only part I'd be concerned about in that regards is the feed ramp, which I don't plan to touch.
