How to ask for ODT family firearms expertise

I think he misunderstood the first sentence in you're original post cmshoot. The scope was correct before you changed it, you need a shell deflector or something to cover the impact area on the scope.

I did not remount the optic with wind-age at 12 o'clock, just removed and rotated in my hand to understand your original post. When elevation is at 12 o'clock the BCD is orientated correctly.

Appears that I need to either protect the wind-age adjustment cap from the ejected casing or get a deflector.

I'm going to suggest that if the scope turret is getting in the way of your ejecting brass, get an angle grinder or cut off wheel for a Dremel tool.
Take that bump off the side of the scope, and give your optics a nice clean low profile surface on the right side.
