I got to fish my new bamboo rod today. It is a whole different animal from graphite. The connection to the fish is unreal. I can feel the fish Shake its head and really swim once he took the fly. It’s really something else .

It is, but the reel balances it out. I felt really good fishing with it today. That little extra heft gave me confidence . I won’t use it every time but when I do it will just be delightful.

Nope . A rod maker in New York made mine and was finished here locally.

Any of you guys use a cooler backpack? I was looking at them. They would keep my drinks and lunch cold and hold a ton of gear - I would primarily use this when hiking. Anyone have a cooler set up?

I’ve got two. One’s an Ice Mule and the other is a Titan I got from Costco. I’m a fan of them both

I watched Joe Humphreys documentary Live the Stream . Just a fantastic movie. I highly recommend.
