I'm pretty certain i gave 500$ for a lifetime 'sportsman's license' in 2003. Before then I was paying about 40$ a year into different license. Even at the 750 price tag now (for 16–49-year-olds) it's still a great deal IF you hunt and fish.

I finally hit the senior discount for renewal this year. So I bought the lifetime fishing option. At first I was feeling kind of old to realize I’m finally eligible for this but reading the details I found out its actually valid until 3/3/2224, that’s a full 200 years from today and on top of that it says I can sign up for auto renewal on it! This is one helluva deal
